ABORIGINAL CULTURAL HERITAGE

Victorian legislation introduced on 28 May 2007 (the Aboriginal Heritage Act 2006 and the Aboriginal Heritage Regulations 2007) impose requirements upon the proponents of development projects to sponsor a Cultural Heritage Management Plan for projects in certain circumstances.

Our advisors / archaeologists have experience in the investigation and management of Aboriginal cultural heritage in all areas of Victoria and for a wide range of projects, ranging from small, localized projects for private individuals and companies to large infrastructure developments on behalf of government agencies and large development and engineering companies.

Working with Aboriginal organizations and individuals, government agencies, developers we seek to achieve practical and appropriate solutions for all stakeholders.

We provide clear and sound advice about the requirements for a cultural heritage management plan and undertake all investigation and consultation required in the preparation of the Plan.

Cultural Heritage Management Plans prepared by Dr Vincent Clark & Associates will provide certainty for project proponents and Aboriginal parties into the future.
