Meg Haas

Masters of Professional Archaeology, La Trobe University

Meg Haas recently completed the Master of Professional Archaeology program at La Trobe University, and has several years of fieldwork experience in Victoria, South Australia, Tasmania and Western Australia. She is proficient in archaeological excavation, survey and documentation, cultural heritage management and is listed as a Heritage Advisor with Aboriginal Victoria.

Meg first discovered her love of archaeology while participating in the Tell es-Safi/Gath Archaeological Project as part of her undergraduate studies at the University of Melbourne. Throughout her postgraduate studies at Flinders University and La Trobe University Meg has continued to work and volunteer on a variety of historical and Indigenous projects throughout Australia. She has a particular interest in the heritage of the alpine High Plains and has worked since 2012 with the Victorian High Country Huts Association, Parks Victoria and Heritage Victoria on the continued restoration and conservation of several alpine huts.
